Film Concerts PH presents Film Music Legends: The Scores of John Williams & Hans Zimmer, performed by
over 80 musicians of the Filharmonika Orchestra under the direction of Gerard Salonga, with guest vocals
by Bituin Escalante.
This symphonic program highlights the works of two of cinema’s most acclaimed composers. John Williams,
the most Oscar-nominated living person, is celebrated for six decades of iconic film scores. Hans Zimmer,
known for his fusion of orchestral and electronic sound, has earned multiple Academy Awards, Golden
Globes, and Grammys.
Audiences can look forward to more than 90 minutes of selections from their celebrated works:
Original scores from Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Schindler’s List, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Hook, Jurassic Park, and Indiana Jones.
ACT II: HANS ZIMMER
Original scores from Top Gun, Dune, Interstellar, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, and The Lion King.
The concert will conclude with Williams’ Superman March and Zimmer’s Man of Steel.
For Ages 6 years old and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
