Craps
At Solaire Resort, the fun starts when the dice roll on the table.
Players bet and scream as they win. It is no wonder Craps is one of the
best games you'll ever play in a casino.
Unlike other games, Craps gives you the chance to determine your luck by
allowing you to roll the dice yourself. Whether you win or lose depends
on the way you “shoot” the dice and its result. As Craps is a lively
game, we suggest that you keep your energy to the highest level so you
can shout for joy when you win.
What's Good About This Game:
- Easy to understand
- Fun and exciting
- Great odds
The Basics
-
Placing a bet is the first thing you need to know. You have plenty of
options when it comes to placing bets in a Craps casino game, but
beware of the sucker bets. Just focus on the easy bets and you'll
never get lost in the game.
One of the best ways to master the art of betting is to learn the
strategy of other players. We recommend observing the habits of
experienced players, especially those who win most of the time.
Are you ready to play Craps? Below is a guide to help you learn the
rules. Read it carefully to understand how the game works.
How to Play
-
To participate in Craps, the Player must make a wager on either the
Pass Line or the Don't Pass while the other Players may place wager on
any Proposition Wagers. The Players take turns to be the “Shooter”,
who will then roll two dice.
Pass Line Wager
-
When the Shooter rolls the dice for the first time, the 'come out
roll' is established. If the come out roll is a Natural (7 or 11),
then the Pass Line Wager wins even money. If the come out roll is
Craps (2, 3 or 12), then the Pass Line Wager loses. Any other number
rolled becomes the Point. If the Point is repeated, then the wager
wins even money. If the Shooter rolls a 7, then the wager loses.
Don't Pass Line Wager
-
If the come out roll is a 2 or 3, then the wager wins even money. If
it is a 12, then it is a Push. If it is a 7 or 11, then the wager
loses. Any other number rolled becomes the Point. If the Shooter rolls
a 7, the wager wins. If it is rolled again, the wager loses.
Come Wager
-
The Come Wager is played after the Point has been established. The
Come Wager is treated exactly the same way as Pass Line Wager. It wins
on 7 or 11; loses on 2, 3 or 12; and if any other number is rolled,
then the wager is moved to that number. If the number is repeated,
then the wager wins even money. If a 7 is rolled, the wager loses.
Don't Come Wager
-
The Don't Come Wager can only be made if a Point has been established.
The wager wins even money on a 2 or 3; pushes on 12; and loses on a 7
or 11. If any other number is rolled, the wager is brought in behind
that number. If the number is repeated, the wager loses. If a 7 is
rolled, the wager wins.
Field Wagers
-
These are one-roll bets. The Player wins even money on 3, 4, 9, 10 and
11, and wins 2 to 1 on 2 or 12. The Player loses on 5, 6, 7 or 8.
Pass Odds
-
These bets can be placed once a Point has been established on
succeeding rolls. The Player may take odds and win if the Points are
made before a 7. Don't Pass or Don't Come bets are in reverse. The
Player must lay odds in order to win.
Place Bets
-
These may be placed in the numbered boxes (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10). The
Player's wager wins if the his number comes up before a 7 is rolled.
However, these bets do not win or lose on the come out roll. The
Dealer will help the Player place these wagers.
Proposition Wagers
-
These are located in the center of the table and are one-roll bets.
The Player wins if their wagered number comes up. Please check this
with Gaming. The rule does not match the universal definition for
Craps Proposition Wagers. I'm not sure if this is Solaire Gaming's
dictated rule.
Hardways
-
These are located in the center of the table and above the Proposition
Wagers. These wagers win if the number is rolled as a pair (ex. 4 and
4 is a Hard 8). Hardways lose if a 7 is rolled or any other
combination.
